Drama Festivals Conference 2010. Saturday 18 September, Kettering Conference Centre and Lighthouse Theatre.

The main part of the conference takes place on Saturday 18th September but this year the organisers have expanded the conference to include a theatre visit to comprising of a talk on the Royal and Derngate, Northampton and a production of The Talented Mr Ripley.

The main conference day itself opens the following morning at the Kettering Conference Centre and Lighthouse Theatre with brief talks from representatives from the National Drama Festivals Association, All England Theatre Festival, Drama Association of Wales and the Guild of Drama Adjudicators.

The morning session continues with various talks on different aspects of drama festival organisation including ‘Future Proofing your Festival’ and a half hour networking session.

After lunch and tours of the Lighthouse Theatre, the conference continues with an afternoon of talks covering issues such as ‘Audience Appreciation’, ‘Playing to Win’, ‘Winning Over the Technical Crew’ and ‘Festival Winners: What makes a winning entry win? A GODA viewpoint’.

Saturday evening brings an opportunity to share an Italian dinner with conference friends at an exclusive little restaurant. A fine way to round off a weekend of drama festivals.

Cynhadledd Gwyliau Drama 2010. Dydd Sadwrn 18fed Medi, Canolfan Gynadledda Kettering a’r Lighthouse Theatre.

Bydd prif ran y gynhadledd yn cael ei chynnal ar ddydd Sadwrn, 18fed Medi, ond eleni, mae’r trefnwyr wedi ehangu’r gynhadledd i gynnwys ymweliad â theatr a fydd yn cynnwys trafodaeth ar y Royal a Derngate, Northampton a chynhyrchiad o The Talented Mr Ripley.

Bydd prif ddiwrnod y gynhadledd ei hun yn agor y bore dilynol yng Nghanolfan Gynadledda Kettering a’r Lighthouse Theatre gyda thrafodaethau byrion oddi wrth cynrychiolwyr y Gymdeithas Gwyliau Drama Cenedlaethol (National Drama Festivals Association), yr All England Theatre Festival, Cymdeithas Ddrama Cymru ac Urdd y Beirniaid Drama (Guild of Drama Adjudicators’.).

Bydd sesiwn y bore yn parhau gyda thrafodaethau amrywiol ar agweddau gwahanol y broses o drefnu gŵyl ddrama gan gynnwys ‘Diogelu Eich Gŵyl ar gyfer y Dyfodol’ a sesiwn rhwydweithio hanner awr.

Yn dilyn cinio a theithiau o amgylch y Lighthouse Theatre, bydd y gynhadledd yn parhau gyda phrynhawn o drafodaethau a fydd yn mynd i’r afael â materion megis ‘Gwerthfawrogiad y Gynulleidfa’, ‘Chwarae I Ennill, ‘Ennyn Cefnogaeth y Criw Technegol’ ac ‘Enillwyr yr Ŵyl: Beth sy’n gyfrifol am sicrhau bod cais buddugol yn ennill? Safbwynt Urdd y Beirniaid Drama (GODA)’.

Bydd nos Sadwrn yn rhoi cyfle i rannu swper Eidalaidd gyda chyfeillion y gynhadledd mewn bwyty bach neilltuol. Ffordd wych o ddirwyn penwythnos o wyliau drama i ben.
